Scope and contact

This statement covers the 1 OAK TRAVEL cruise finder, travel journal and related pages at cruisefinder.1ofakindtravel.com. It does not replace the separate privacy notices of a cruise line, booking supplier, Amazon or another service you choose to use.

For a privacy request, contact 1oaktravela@gmail.com or call/text (510) 303-9883. Describe your request and the best way to reply. Do not include payment-card numbers, passport copies or detailed medical information in an initial website inquiry.

Information used when you visit

Loading a page sends ordinary request information to the hosting service, which can include your IP address, requested URL, time, device/browser information and security-related data. The hosting provider may process this information to deliver, secure and maintain the website. We do not control every hosting or browser-level record.

The cruise finder and journal application do not add advertising pixels, behavioral-advertising tools, analytics scripts, embedded social feeds or third-party fonts. The cruise quiz opens as a separate application in a new tab and can load its own resources there. It has no account-registration form, onsite checkout or payment collection.

Shortlists, notes and packing checklists

The finder’s saved sailings, your planning notes and the packing checklist use browser local storage when device saving is enabled. This application does not upload those entries to 1 OAK TRAVEL. You can turn saving off or clear these entries in storage choices. Turning saving off keeps current-page work in memory for the visit and removes the saved planning entries from that browser’s local storage.

A downloaded comparison or planning brief may contain the notes you choose to include. You control where you save or share that downloaded file. Browser data is specific to the device and browser and does not automatically synchronize with another device.

The optional cruise personality quiz

Our cruise personality quiz links open quiz.1ofakindtravel.com in a new tab. The quiz includes fields for your name, email and phone number before the questions. Its introductory form describes using those details to send your result and travel follow-up information.

The quiz is a separate application. Visiting it can provide that service with ordinary request information, and any details you enter or submit are handled through that application. The finder does not prefill its fields or send your saved cruise notes into it. Review the information presented in the quiz before submitting. Our device-saving controls apply to the finder and packing checklist, not the quiz’s separate storage. Contact Freddie with privacy questions or to plan travel without taking the quiz.

When you contact us

Call, text and email links open the relevant service on your device. Information reaches us when you choose to send a message or place a call. We use the contact details, travel preferences and other information you provide to respond and help with the requested service. Your email, phone and messaging providers also process the communication under their own policies.

Before an actual booking, additional traveler details may be needed by the chosen supplier. Booking-stage collection and supplier requirements will be addressed through that process. This research website does not collect those details through an online form.

After you visit Amazon, Amazon and its sellers may use their own cookies and other technologies. Cruise-line and other external pages also have their own privacy practices. We do not receive your Amazon payment-card details or access to your Amazon account through an affiliate click.

Retention, choices and requests

Saved planning data remains in the browser until you clear it, disable device saving, or the browser removes it. Contact records may be kept as needed to respond, provide requested services, maintain business records and meet applicable requirements. Hosting records follow the provider’s applicable practices.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion or other handling of personal information. Contact us to make a request; we may need to verify identity and assess applicable obligations. Device-only data can be cleared directly with the storage controls.
